This is what Santa brought to our house! Adam and Eli went and picked her up around 10:00, and my sisters were anxiously waiting to see her. This is a video I was trying to send to them; however, I couldn't get it to work, so I ended up skyping them. I had to hang up because they were too loud. :) This is Nala checking out her new home. She is a mini shar-pei with a brush coat (her fur is soft - our shar-pei growing up had rough fur).
Adam trying to help her not be too scared.
(Noah waiting somewhat patiently for the OK to go downstairs)
Christmas morning Noah came in around 6:30 so anxious to go downstairs. He kept whispering in my ear, "Did Santa come? Can we go see yet? I don't hear a dog, do you?". Finally around 7:15 we woke up the babies, and I told them they had to wait until I got my camera. When I came back upstairs Noah asked me if I saw a dog. I said I didn't see any dog, but there were presents under the tree.
The video of the kids reaction to our Christmas dog. I think Noah was in shock, and didn't know what to do, so he immediately turns around and walks toward his dad. So funny.
Ignore the pee on the training pad. I should have gotten a new one before they came down.
Ava didn't really care about anything else the entire day - or for the past 2 weeks.
I really didn't take that many pictures on Christmas. Enjoying the moment, I guess. Noah also got a real snake trap, a marble maze, and a remote control boat (which didn't come with the battery, so we took it back and still haven't replaced it - honestly I don't think he even noticed)
Grant got a 'bike with pedals', car hauler, and a build a robot thing.
Devouring the presents
Ava got an awesome cash register and a shopping cart, a tinker bell barbie and a puzzle.
We told the kids that they could name her, but that the elves called her Nala at the north pole. They all decided they wanted to keep her name, Nala. This is how she sleeps sometimes. So cute.
Watching a movie with their new puppy. Ava CAN NOT keep her hands off of that poor dog.
Noah would randomly come up to me for a few days after and tell me, "I can't believe we have a dog. Santa brought me a dog even though he knew you didn't want one." ha ha
I can just imagine those wheels spinning in his smart little head.

Do you know how jealous I am of the cash register?!? :) The kids and I have really enjoyed watching the video, over and over and over and over. I love Noah wanting to know what its name is the whole time. (He probably knows if you name it than you have to keep it. he wasn't taking any chances.) And Ava's "For me? Santa brought it for me? Oh my gosh, look mom!" I loved it! Brooks is into the Oh my gosh too lately. What a great Christmas!
p.s. I want a post now of your sneak peak from the post below this. I want to see all the remodeling you have done... your living room. Ava's bedroom, etc. You know, everything!
We think Nala is a fine addition to the family. Who get the privilege of cleaning up after her and taking her for daily walks? Summer! I know you.
Cute puppy!!! I remember your shar-pei growing up (Rugsby?)I admit I don't think I'll ever be ready for that responsibility, but at least you live where it's not so freaking cold.
