July 24th - Pioneer Day We had some friends over on July 23rd to help us celebrate Pioneer Day with a BBQ and some fireworks. Pictured above L-R: Coleman "Dutch", Noah and Henry.
Naked Kids! As many of you know, we love to wear the least amount of clothes as possible. We're trying to get Ava used to our "way of life" by making her hang out in a diaper. She enjoys it so I think she'll adapt just fine. Noah is such a cute little brother. The other day I walked in to him talking to Ava on the floor. I stopped to listen and he was saying, "Give us a little smile (we say that to her everyday) You're so cute and little. I love you Ava." My heart melted.
I sold my stroller :( Noah and I put many many miles on this little jem, but we realized it's time to add another seat. I've been putting Ava in the storage basket for walks, but I'm afraid she's going to out grow that spot soon (and I'm sure it's not very safe down there either). I know that in about 3 months our new stroller won't have enough seats either, but I figure the storage bin will work for awhile and then Noah will have to start walking or riding his bike. I'm excited for the new stroller to get here, but so sad to see our well used Bumbleride go to a new home.
Coming soon to the Wilson home. Yeah! We can start going for longer walks again.
The most exciting news of all........Ava slept through the night last night!!!!!!!!!!!! When Adam woke up around 6:30 and I realized I hadn't gotten up to feed Ava my first thought was, is she alright, and after seeing she was still breathing I was overjoyed. She went to bed around 11:00 and didn't wake up until 7:00 (the other miracle was that I didn't get up to go to the bathroom either - that hasn't happened in almost 6 months). What a night!! After she woke up at 7:00 she ate and then went back to sleep until 11:00 this morning. She ate again and is asleep again. The daytime sleeping is common for her - let's just hope this all night sleeping continues. I don't know how I lucked out and got 2 really good sleepers. I'm definitely not complaining. The picture is right after she woke up this morning. She's been sucking on her fingers a lot lately, and yes, she loves to sleep on her tummy (you don't have to cuss me out - I know it's bad).

Little Ava is growing like a weed! I love how big and wide her eyes look in all the pictures. Looks like she doesn't want to miss out on anything that's happening around her.

YAY for sleeping through the night! I was going to say that you should get at least have a few months more of that before she starts teething, but then I remembered you'll have another newborn by then too. Wow.

I used to try to get Nathan to sleep on his back & he'd just roll over to his tummy anyway. I finally just figured whatever helps him sleep through the night works for me! :)

I love that you put Ava in the basket on the bottom of the jogger. That's what I had to do with Danny for at least a good 6 months in my 2 seater. Then I just managed to squish them all in (it was one of the bike trailer style ones). We put well over a thousand miles on that baby before it finally fell apart, and I was sad to see it go.

I love all the pics, and love hearing your decisions about work. I've struggled with the same thought over finishing a degree. I was finishing up either a math and science degree or my pre-med (still hadn't decided) when Kody and I got married, and I've never gone back. Every once in a while I think about it, and I probably will one day, but I love being home! Sister Beck came to Fillmore last month and gave a fireside. She reminded us all of how important it is to be home and how blessed we are here that so many of us are able to be home. It was great. Kody works for the state, so trust me, I understand the poor aspect, but we both LOVE our jobs!

Thanks for the heads up about Saturday at the zoo. I guess we will have fun fighting with the crowds. Also we are staying with Jon's parents, but thanks for thinking about us. Darn.. if you were up there you could come with us. Next time you come down let me now and you can come see my house. Hope to see you guys soon and that cute little girl!
