Sick Kids, Daddy, and House News

This is how the babies feel about the last couple of weeks. Ava cut her top 2 teeth and had a cold, so she was sad and miserable. Grant got sick this past weekend. At one point he had a fever of 105.1 - I've never seen a temp. that high. Needless to say it scared me to death. Luckily, Adam was home and gave him a blessing. I know at first it was viral so I didn't take him to the doctor, but Saturday night I noticed a change and knew he had a secondary infection. I took him to instacare and sure enough he had bilateral ear infections and thrush in his throat. Both babies are feeling much better and we're all a lot happier.
On a happier note...... we got to have our daddy home this past weekend. It was so nice to have him here to help with the crying babies. He also got most of the house packed and ready for the move. I know, he's a great catch!
Here's the latest on our house situation: We got a house in Fair Oaks, California (just east of Sacramento). I shouldn't say we have it yet, but we have an accepted offer and we should be able to close in the next few weeks. Our house in Salt Lake hasn't sold yet, but we have a lady who is interested but hasn't made any offers yet. If we don't get an offer in the next few weeks then we are going to rent it out. As far as moving goes, we will be joining my sweet husband in the middle of June sometime. We are so excited!! The video is of our new house in California as it is right now. As you can see it needs some updating and minor repairs, so look forward to lots of before and after pictures. Aren't those drop down tubs to die for?!? Did anything good come out of the 80's? Oh yeah, ME!

It's a beauty! Excited for you guys to be together. Not so excited for you to be moving so far away.

Sorry about the sick babies. I have seen 105 a few times with both Madi and Meg and it is pretty scary. Good thing you were only a text away.

I can't imagine having two little babies that sick. I'm glad adam was there to hold one and you the other.

Great house! Can't wait to see what you do with it. The pool and spa are awesome.

I'm sorry about the sick babies! It's a good thing you know how to handle stuff like that. A temp that high is still very scary, though.

Good luck with packing and moving!

It looks pretty cool, like it belongs on the Wilson Plantation in 1978. I know you can work your magic. How you gonna keep the kids out of the pool? I don't think they make cover pool tops that shape!

Oh those crying babies make my arms ache, I want to hold them!

I've never seen drop down tubs before. Those are crazy! How fun to have your own pool. A set of life jackets and you've got a summer of non-stop fun! Congrats.

How fun to have such a big house as your project ;)

I think all California houses from that time look exactly the same... and I'm kind of a fan of drop tubs jk
