November

Hike to McCloud falls with the Wassom family.

Poor swollen rashy face from poison oak.  Grant seems to get it the worst and pretty much every birthday since we built the cabin. :/
Got the exterior of our house painted.  The garage doors still need to be replaced and painted.
Our previous color was kind of peachy with green trim.  We changed to a neutral (non pink/peachy) linen color with black (the black is very subtle, almost dark blue) trim.  Eventually I want to add some wood accents between the upper windows and below the living room windows.  We weren't planning to replace the front door yet, but in December Noah broke one of the window panes. UGH!!!
Adam and Noah went to 6th grade science camp at Alliance Redwoods for a week.  Noah loved it, of course.  Ropes courses, zip lining, learning about nature....what's not to love.  Adam has a bunch of pictures on his phone, I'll have to get someday.
My baby boy turned 9!!  Man, time is a thief.  He was still pretty swollen from his latest poison oak outbreak.  He got a fishing pole, fishing box with money to buy some fishing gear and a red car toy.
Birthday breakfast.  Syrup with some pancakes.  This boy loves his sauces and syrups!!
This was a fun cake to make.  He loves to help me make the cakes, so he made some of the trees and rocks.

Went to Folsom to test out his new present.  No fish. :(
The Paradise fire was so devastating.  We had so many donations in just a few hours, that they cancelled the last 2 hours of church and everyone tried to organize the loads of donations.  We delivered 2 huge U-haul trucks of clothes to Paradise.  Such a great and humbling experience.
 Mandarin picking
The back all painted.  I was most excited about getting the awnings painted.
Slowly, but surely, we're getting the backyard done.
Progress on the upstairs bathroom after a year of no movement. :/  Decided on some wallpaper and got it hung and painted the light fixtures a different shade of yellow.
Tomatoes going strong until the end of November.
The kids love to go to this trampoline place near our house and Ava goes up and down the climbing wall about a dozen times.
Pulled out the summer/fall garden end of November.
Went to Eli and Erin's for Thanksgiving.  Luke's family and grandma Connie and grandpa Rob were there too.  Grandma Connie teaching Brooke and Grant the turkey poem.
 Adam snitching some turkey.
 Went to Saguaro National Park.
Before we flew out of Phoenix, we were able to stop and spend a little time with Becca.  Jeril and Suzanne and a few other cousins were there too.  It's been a long time since we've seen most of these guys, so it was nice catching up a little.
I got released as primary chorister and put into activity days.  It's a great calling.  One of our activities in November was nail art (Christmas tree).  My boys were more in to it than Ava.

They turned out cute.  A craft I don't mind putting out in the open. :)
