October

 Lots of garden produce.
Helped at the Jog-a-thon for Ava and Grant
Went to the cabin for General Conference weekend with the Johnson and Klindt families.  It was a really fun weekend filled with food, conversation, games, more food, hikes and listening to conference.  This is the conference we learned about the new 'Come Follow Me' curriculum and the new 2 hour church block.
 Hiked to Mossbrae falls.

On our way home from the cabin we saw the strangest light in the sky.  It kept moving and seriously looked like a UFO.  We later found out it was a rocket launch.
 Days for Girls service project.
Enjoying my walks every day.  The turkeys are seriously taking over.  They are everywhere!
Got our Halloween decorations up.  The kids pretty much do all of the holiday decorating now.  One of Adam's clients gave him those giant pumpkins. :)
My garden was so productive and huge this summer.  L-R Box 1 and 2: English and lemon cucumbers (they both grew over the arch), nasturtiums, marigolds and cantaloupe.  Box 3: Butternut squash (they also grew up and over a smaller arched trellis.  Box 4 and 5: Tomatoes (beef steak, san marzanos, Cherokee purple and cherry tomato of some kind), basil, jalapeno pepper, and green onions. Box 6: zucchini and zinnias.  Box 7: Peppers (green bell, red bell, banana and gypsy), and oregano.
Did a fun girls weekend with a few of my friends.  Didn't take many pictures though.  My mom sent me these cute glass beads for us to make key chains or necklaces.
Hiked to Mossbrae again, ate lots of yummy food and talked each other's ears off.

Ginormous acorn I found on my walk.
Fun swing we found at our creek.  Someone made them take it down though, so it's not there anymore.
 School carnival.

 Ward fall festival

Some seriously cute trunks for the trunk-or-treat.  Our bishop and his wife did 'UP'.
 Candy land theme

Still swimming at the end of October this year.
Cookie social after the primary program.  My last as primary chorister.  It went really well.
Grant disguised his turkey as a NY Yankee.
Went on a fun hike with my hiking friends to THE CUTEST little (20 residents, I think) town.

Noah getting 'help' with his homework.  Noah had a rude awakening the first trimester in school.  Elementary school was a piece of cake for him, so when he actually needed to put forth effort for a good grade he didn't really do it.  Thus the less than stellar grades the first trimester (not terrible, but not great either).  Needless to say, we/he learned a lot that first trimester and is working a little harder, and we are keeping track a little better.
Carving pumpkins.  I bow out for this activity.  It's all them.  They carve, gut and design it all (Ava got help from her dad though).

I let the kids have 1 slough day a school year.  Grant took his in October and we went to this awesome nursery nearby and had lunch at their cafe.  Walked around the shops and bought some felt to make felt balls with.

It's fun having one-on-one time with my kiddos.  Grant couldn't get over the giant potato chips he got at lunch.  Can't remember what else we did that day, but I'm sure it involved a movie too.
Helped in Gran't class for their Halloween party.
 Ava - rabbit
Noah and Grant were robbers and Ava was a rabbit.  The only thing we had to buy this year were Ava's bunny ears.  Score!

So much stinking candy!!! Each year we get less and less trick-or-treaters :(, so I handed out full size candy bars.  The kids wanted to go alone this year, so they hit up most of the neighborhood.  Enough candy for like 1000 humans.
