Ava's 2!

My baby girl turned 2 last Saturday.  It was a rainy birthday, but I think she had a great day.

Started off the day with a delicious breakfast (recipe coming soon for these amazing berry muffins).  Ava loves when all the attention is on her, so whenever we sang happy birthday to her she just beamed.

Grant didn't care about Ava turning 2, but he did love the muffins.

Twiners - enjoying some M&M's

Opening her sleeping bag.  She also got a chair and swing.
The swing was a big hit.  Now the problem is that all the kids fight over who gets to use it.

All the 'helpers', helping Ava open her present.
Ava's butterfly cake
I spent all week on those silly butterflies, and like it always go, the end result wasn't quite like I imagined.  It turned out cute, but I ran out of time with the actual cake part.  I didn't want to cover it with fondant this time, so I was going to try a cool design with cool whip.  Anyway, I didn't get to do the cool whip part because of time. Oh well, Ava thought it was pretty cool.

Blowing out her candles.  Notice Grant blowing them out as well.

Yummy cake (I'll post this recipe too)

Ava's other birthday present - her throne.

(The pictures look grainy on this post.  I think it's blogger, but we'll see how it looks tomorrow.)

That girl just gets cuter and cuter. Love the cake. Poor Brooks. You should see what he is getting. At least it is homemade. Meg got that same curl in her hair and always thought of that poem. It was so fitting. Glad to see Adam on the tramp. You can tell Noah was thrilled. Ty gives the girls at least one trampoline night each summer.

Happy birthday, Ava! I love her hair and that poem.

That cake turned out so cute, and I can't believe you made homemade noodles!!! Mmmmmm.

It looks like Ava and Luke would get along great with their love of mud. If I don't keep him in a onesie, he pulls off his pants and diaper all the time, too...

Happy Birthday Ava Marie! Can you just hear Meg calling her that in Hawaii? More like "Ava Arie..."
